4. Renkajoki, Hämeenlinna Length: appr. 30 km
Renkajoki starts from Renkajärvi in Hattula. From there it flows winding through the downtown of Renko towards souttheast, to Haapajärvi on Janakkala. The first part is wilderness-like moor terrain which grows pines, after Muurlankoski the river winds in field scenery and mixed forest scenery. The altitude difference of Renkajärvi and Haapajärvi is 40 meters, and there are 9 rapids by the route.
All the old dam constructions have been demolished from Renkajoki. In reviving the river, numerous residents of the riverside , in addition to ELY-Center of Häme, Vanajavesikeskus, have been taking part in fishing and canoeing.
