8.Puujoki – Hiidenjoki, Hausjärvi – Janakkala. Puujoki: 35 km long, Hiidenjoki 15 km long

Hiidenjoki – Puujoki is part of the Viking trade route to the east. The river Puujoki starts from Lake Ansionjärvi on the south side of Mommilanjärvi and flows in the vicinity of the town of Oitti, descending into Kernaalanjärvi. Due to the three-metre height difference, the flow is slow. The river is suitable for canoeing and rowing in both directions. Puujoki’s tributaries are Hausjoki and Punkanjoki. Hiidenjoki starts at the eastern end of Lake Kernaalanjärvi. The river is more than 50 m wide up to Hämeenlinna. Due to the almost same height difference between Kernaalanjärvi and Hiidenjoki, the flow is slow.
